DAVID C. MURRAY, JD, MBA

I earned my undergraduate degree from Elon College, concentrating my studies in political science and public administration. After graduating from Elon, I attended Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, where I earned my law degree. While attending law school, I earned a Master’s of Business Administration from Stetson University School of Business Administration.

Following my admission to the Florida Bar Association, I served the citizens of the state of Florida as an Assistant State Attorney for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Tampa. While working as a prosecutor, I prosecuted crimes ranging from criminal traffic infractions to first-degree felonies.
Almost 20 years ago, I began representing policyholders throughout the state of Florida in insurance disputes. I have represented insured individuals, partnerships, businesses, condominiums, hotels and corporations that have been denied insurance benefits or otherwise mistreated by their insurance carriers in the southeastern United States and beyond. I have been involved in a wide spectrum of contractual and extra-contractual matters, including property losses, casualty claims, construction defect allegations, complex insurance coverage matters, bad faith and unfair claims handling violations.

I live in the Hyde Park district of South Tampa with my wife Kim, who is also an attorney, and our son Finton and daughter Penelope. I give back to the community by serving as a Guardian ad Litem advocating for abused and neglected children in the foster care system and by serving as a board member for the Heart Gallery of Tampa.
